Retention of title
Legal ownership of any goods supplied shall remain with Amid Building Solutions until such a time that full payment of any outstanding invoice or orders has been received in full.
Should the Customer receive the product before full payment has been received and cleared, Amid Building Solutions retains the right to demand and receive payment of the full amount outstanding immediately in order to transfer ownership from us to you the Customer.
The Customer allows unrestricted access to reclaim the goods should payment not be forthcoming and the order will be cancelled.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring the condition of the goods (so they are able to be resold) – this will mean keeping the goods flat, dry, and protected from sunlight prior to any collection.
Placing an order
Once an order is placed online or over the telephone we will send you a confirmation email or letter by post with Royal Mail.
There are some circumstances when an order cannot be accepted by Amid Building Solutions for example if the product is no longer available, if your payment has been declined or your cheque will not clear.
We will inform you as soon as possible if there is any reason why we cannot accept your order. If we have already received payment, we will refund your money in full.
Payment must be received in full at the time of order unless we agree otherwise.
Delivery will only be made once we have received full and cleared funds.
We can look into credit accounts for businesses subject obtaining a credit limit from our credit insurers.
Delivery
Delivery lead times will only commence once we have received cleared funds.
Delivery is FREE for garden log cabins to the areas on the map to the right highlighted in green. If you require delivery to an address outside the green area (above M62) on the map please contact us for an individual quotation.
Please note delivery of the Garden shed is included in the price to anywhere in the South West. Anywhere outside of the South West will be quoted individually.
Delivery of the Mobile Field Shelter is given on application.
Deliveries are typically made between Monday and Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm. We will do our best to advise you of an exact day and approximate time
Access
If there are any problems with access to your site, you must advise this at time of order. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure a clear route to site. If any special equipment is needed to get the product to your property, the Customer will be responsible for the cost of this equipment.
A solid level base for Garden log cabin range
The life of the building depends on its foundations. It is extremely important that your base is firm, level, square and the correct size to accommodate your cabin. The base is required to be 10-15cm thick. We recommend that you add 10cm on each side of the cabin to allow for any minor miscalculations when laying your base if you choose to lay the base yourself.
If you are not confident that you will be able to lay a square, level base as described above, we recommend you employ a professional builder to lay it for you.
You must supply a level solid base for us to erect the building on.
If we arrive at the property and the base is not level or is not correct (at discretion of the installation team) so that it will affect the integrity of the building we will have no alternative but to leave the building at your address for self installation or re-deliver and install at a later date once the base is correct and ready – this will incur re-delivery cost of £400.00 plus VAT.
If you insist on the building being installed against the advice of our Amid Building Solutions Installation Team, we will only undertake this work once you have signed an Acceptance of Full Responsibility form for any defects that may occur as a result of an inadequate base etc.
Self-Installation
If you choose to install a log cabin building yourself you will be required to sign a form accepting full responsibility for any defects, which may occur as a result of an inadequate base etc. Unfortunately we cannot offer a warranty under these circumstances
The Garden shed and mobile field shelter is supplied in kit form and designed for self installation so you will not be required to sign a form for these products.
Our cabins, garden shed and field shelters are designed to be assembled by at least 2 people. Self - assembly will involve lifting timber, doors and windows, climbing ladders and you will also be responsible for making sure the building is square and water tight.
Please note that bespoke buildings may need a full building team and therefore self- installation may not be an option
Warranty against rot and fungal decay
We offer a 15-year warranty against rot and fungal decay on any fully pressure treated log cabin installed by Amid Buildings Solutions. Should you install the garden cabin range yourself unfortunately we cannot offer this warranty as we have no way of knowing if a piece of timber has been cut, trimmed down or installed correctly. If a piece of timber is cut after it has been treated it could expose a non treated part of the timber to the elements making it more prone to rot and fungal decay over time.
Please note we do not offer a warranty on the garden shed or field shelter
Timber
Wood is a natural product and therefore susceptible to changes in the environment and weather variants. Extreme temperatures and changes in weather conditions can cause slight changes in timber properties used outdoors.
This is a natural process and will not affect the structural strength of the wood. In all but extreme cases, timber will return to its original size.
Once your building has been installed it will still adjust to its environment and various weather conditions as it is a natural product. The moisture content of the logs will vary from season to season which will cause expansion and contraction of the wall logs.
We cannot guarantee that timbers making up your cabin will not develop cracks, splits and move from time to time. Minor adjustment may need to be carried out due to the nature of the product. All timber buildings settle within the first few months. The cabin walls will compress with the weight of the roof and joints will close up
When it is sunny and warm the timber will dry slightly and cracks may appear – these generally disappear when it rains or becomes damp. This will not affect the stability of your building. These natural occurrences are not a reason to return or reject the product.
We cannot guarantee any building against extreme weather such as hurricanes
Modifications to your building.
Should you paint or modify your building we will not be held responsible for any problems that occur as a result of these modifications.
Claims
In the unlikely event that there is a problem with your building, we will in the first instance send our installation team to repair the problem. Should we not be able to rectify the problem, a like-for-like replacement will be offered, if this is not possible (your model is out of stock or discontinued) we will offer a refund.
Damage should be reported within, 5 working days from delivery. We may request photographic evidence of any reported problems. If there is a problem with a component part we will do our best to send a replacement straight away subject to stock levels.
